Elated

After months of being berated,

Hated, jaded

Irate & angry,

Going more than half crazy,

Now I'm elated.

Now I feel free.

Now I am finally feeling like me.

It's not the same me as before;

I know it's cliche,

but what can I say?

This past year has opened

So many new doors.

A weight has been lifted;

I'm enlightened and gifted.

Elated. Radiated by this incredible

glow I'm feeling inside from

head to toe.

Wanting us all to join hands

and spin, dance, and sway.

Because we're elated

On this breezy summer day.
